ALPRAHAM
Alpraham was a township in Bunbury ancient parish, Eddisbury hundred
(SJ 5860), which became a civil parish in 1866.
It includes the hamlets of Barrets Green (part) and Highwayside.
The population was 335 in 1801, 518 in 1851, 481 in 1901, and 381 in 1951.

(Church of England ). The district church for Alpraham from 1901.
Alpraham, Methodist (General) Chapel (Primitive). Built in 1882, replacing
a smaller building nearby built in 1845. Registers of baptisms 1905-1962 are at
the Cheshire Record Office.
Alpraham, Methodist (Grove) Chapel (Wesleyan). Built in 1828, closed
in 1962. Registers of marriages 1931-1962 are at the Cheshire Record Office.
