ANDERTON
- Anderton was a township in Great Budworth ancient parish, Bucklow hundred
(SJ 6475), which became a civil parish in 1866.
- The civil parish was abolished in 1988 to become part of
Anderton with Marbury
- It included the hamlets of Daisy Bank, Gunners Clough (part), and Soot Hill.
- The population was 191 in 1801, 251 in 1851, 360 in 1901, and 424 in 1951.
