NEWBOLD ASTBURY
- Newbold Astbury was a township in Astbury Parish, Northwich Hundred
(SJ 8460), which became a civil parish in 1866.
- Including the hamlets of Brownlow, Ciss Green, Congleton Edge (part), Dubthorne (part), Stye Heath, Wall Hill
- The population was 575 in 1801, 705 in 1851, 593 in 1901, and 564 in 1951.

- Astbury, St. Mary (C of E). An ancient parish church, originally serving the townships of Buglawton, Congleton, Davenport, Eaton (near Congleton), Hulme Walfield, Moreton cum Alcumlow, Newbold Astbury, Odd Rode, Radnor, Smallwood,
Somerford and Somerford Booths. Registers of Baptisms 1572–1953, Marriages 1572–1969 and Burials 1572–1970 can be
seen on microfilm at the Cheshire Record Office.
- Wornish Nook, Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan). Built in 1852.
