Bickley was a township in Malpas ancient parish, Broxton hundred (SJ
5348), which became a civil parish in 1866.
It includes the hamlets of Barmere, Bickley Moss, Bickley Town, Bickleywood,
Cross Lanes, Hetherson Green, No Man's Heath (part) and Willey Moor (part).
The population was 435 in 1801, 467 in 1851, 383 in 1901, and 325 in 1951.

district church for part of Bickley since 1893.
