BICKLEY

A township in Malpas Parish, Broxton Hundred (SJ 5348).
Includes the hamlets of Barmere, Bickley Moss, Bickley Town, Bickleywood, Cross Lanes, Hetherson Green, No Man's Heath (part) and Willey Moor (part).
The population was 435 in 1801, 467 in 1851, 383 in 1901 and 325 in 1951.

Malpas, St. Oswald (C of E). The ancient parish church for Bickley.
Bickley, St. Wenefride (C of E). Built 1892, a separate parish from 1893, comprising the townships of Bickley, Cholmondeley, Chorley (near Nantwich), and Norbury (near Malpas) (part). Registers of Baptisms 1892-1965, Marriages 1893-1948 and Burials 1892-1985 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office.. Later registers are still at the church.
Bickley, Methodist Chapel (Primitive). Built 1882.
