Birkenhead, St. Mary (C of E), Church Street. An ancient chapel to Bidston, originally serving the whole of the township of Birkenhead; closed in 1974. Registers of
Baptisms 1721–1968, Marriages 1721–1974 and Burials 1719–1957 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office. There

Birkenhead, St. Bede (C of E), Built in 1888 in Park Road West as a chapel to Claughton, Christ Church, becoming a chapel to All Saints in
1911. Closed in 1941 after air-raid damage, and replaced by a new building in Upton Road in 1960 which has been attached to St James since the closure of All Saints in 1971.
