- Blakenhall was a township in Wybunbury ancient parish, Nantwich hundred
(SJ 7247), which became a civil parish in 1866.
- It includes the hamlets of The Den and Gonsley Green.
- The population was 199 in 1801, 226 in 1851, 196 in 1901, and 169 in 1951.
