BRADWALL

• Bradwall was a township in Sandbach Parish, Northwich Hundred (SJ 7463), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• In 1936 Elworth village was transferred from Bradwall to Sandbach, and the hamlet of Higher Daleacre was transferred to Bradwall from Kinderton civil parish.
• Including the hamlets of Lower Daleacre, Higher Daleacre (from 1936), Elworth (until 1936) and Hollinsgreen.
• The population was 252 in 1801, 291 in 1851, 924 in 1901, and 223 in 1951.

• Sandbach, St. Mary (C of E). The ancient parish church for Bradwall.
• Elworth, St. Peter (C of E). The parish church from 1847.
• Elworth, Mount Pleasant Methodist Chapel (Primitive). Founded 1861, rebuilt in 1889.
• Bradwall, Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan). Built in 1883.
• Elworth, Methodist Chapel, The Avenue. Built in 1912.
