DELAMERE: St. Peter (Church of England)

Church History

Founded in 1812 as a district church for the townships of Delamere, Eddisbury, Kingswood and Oakmere (previously extra-parochial areas of Delamere Forest).

The district was affected by the following boundary changes:

1935 April 2 — reduced when part of the township of Oakmere was transferred to Sandiway: St. John the Evangelist.
1956 August 14 — reduced when part of the township of Delamere was transferred to Kelsall: St. Philip.
