CHURCH LAWTON

• Church Lawton was a township and parish in Northwich Hundred (SJ 8155), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• Including the hamlets of Hall Green (part), Lawton, Lawton Gate, Lawton Heath, Lawton Springs, Little Moss (part), Moss Pit, and Red Bull.
• The population was 445 in 1801, 693 in 1851, 850 in 1901, and 971 in 1951.

CHURCHES AND CHAPELS

• Church Lawton, All Saints (C of E). An ancient parish church serving the township of Church Lawton. Registers of Baptisms 1559–1990, Marriages 1559–1991 and Burials 1559–1966 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office.
• Hall Green, Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan). Built in 1874.
