DODDINGTON

• Doddington was a township in Wybunbury Parish, Nantwich Hundred (SJ 7146), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• The population was 51 in 1801, 86 in 1851, 70 in 1901, and 1094 in 1951.

CHURCHES AND CHAPELS

• Wybunbury, St. Chad (C of E). The ancient parish church for Doddington.
• Doddington, St. John (C of E). Built in 1837 as a chapelry to Wybunbury, becoming the parish church for Bridgemere, Checkley cum Wrinehill, Doddington and Hunsterson in 1840. Registers of Baptisms from 1879 and Marriages from 1883 are held at the church..
