Foulk Stapleford was a township in Tarvin ancient parish, Broxton hundred
(SJ 4863), which became a civil parish in 1866.
It includes the hamlets of Brereton Park, Greenlooms (part) and Hargrave.
The population was 212 in 1801, 236 in 1851, 204 in 1901, and 153 in 1951.

ancient chapel to Tarvin: St. Andrew, and the district church for Foulk
Stapleford from 1878.
Hargrave, Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan). Built in 1859, closed in 1981.
