Hoole was a township in the ancient parishes of Plemstall and
Chester: St. John the Baptist, Broxton hundred (SJ 4267), which
became a civil parish in 1866.
1954 April 1 — Abolished and divided between Chester
(498 acres, pop. 8705 in 1951),
Guilden Sutton (18 acres, pop. 209 in 1951)
and Hoole Village (156 acres, pop. 144 in
1951)

Built in 1867 as a chapel to Chester: Christ Church, becoming the district
