LACH DENNIS

• Lach Dennis was a township in Witton Chapelry of Great Budworth Parish, Northwich Hundred (SJ 7171), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• In 1892 it was extended in 1892 to include the whole of Birches, Hulse, Newhall (nr. Davenham) and Stublach.
• In 1936 part of Leese was added to Lach Dennis.
• The population was 43 in 1801, 28 in 1851, 184 in 1901, and 68 in 1951.

• Great Budworth, St. Mary & All Saints (C of E). The ancient parish church for Lach Dennis.
• Witton, St. Helen (C of E). An ancient chapelry in Great Budworth parish.
• Lostock Gralam, St. John the Evangelist (C of E). The parish church since 1842.
• Lach Dennis, All Saints. Built in 1896 as a chapel to Lostock Gralam. Registers of Baptisms 1896–1968 and Burials 1897–1970 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office
