LITTLE LEIGH

• Little Leigh was a township and chapelry in Great Budworth Parish, Bucklow Hundred (SJ 6176), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• Including the hamlets of Shutley Common and Willow Green.
• The population was 380 in 1801, 407 in 1851, 366 in 1901, and 528 in 1951.

• Great Budworth, St. Mary & All Saints (C of E)  The ancient parish church for Little Leigh.
• Little Leigh, St. Michael & All Angels (C of E). A chapel to Great Budworth, created a separate parish from 1833 serving the townships of Bartington, Litrle Leigh and part of Dutton. Registers of Baptisms 1782–1997, Marriages 1844–1996 and Burials 1841–1982 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office
• Little Leigh, Baptist Chapel.
