LOSTOCK GRALAM

• Lostock Gralam was a township in Witton Chapelry of Great Budworth Parish, Bucklow Hundred (SJ 6974), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• In 1936 part of Lostock Gralam was added to Northwich.
• Including the hamlet of Lostock Green.
• The population was 361 in 1801, 519 in 1851, 1640 in 1901, and 1522 in 1951.

CHURCHES AND CHAPELS

• Great Budworth, St. Mary & All Saints (C of E). The ancient parish church for Lostock Gralam.
• Witton, St. Helen (C of E). An ancient chapelry in Great Budworth parish.
• Lostock Gralam, St. John the Evangelist (C of E). A separate parish from 1842, originally serving the townships of Birches, Hulse, Lach Dennis, Lostock Gralam and Wincham. Registers of Baptisms 1844–1930, Marriages 1863–1942 and Burials 1845–1940 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office.
• Lostock Green, Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan).
• Lostock Gralam, Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan). Built in 1894.
