MARBURY CUM QUOISLEY

• Marbury cum Quoisley was a township in Marbury ancient parish, Nantwich hundred (SJ 5645), which became a civil parish in 1866.

• It includes the hamlets of Hollins Lane, Hollyhurst (part), Marley Green and Willeymoor (part).
• The population was 372 in 1801, 355 in 1851, 317 in 1901, and 291 in 1951.

Boundary Changes

• 1965 April 1 — Gained part of Whitchurch, Shropshire (under 1 hectare, pop. 5 in 1961)
• 1990 April 1 — Gained part of Marbury cum Quoisley, and lost parts to Dodcott cum Wilkesley and Wrenbury cum Frith

• Marbury: St. Michael (Church of England). An ancient chapelry in the parish of Whitchurch (Shropshire), which became the district church in 1870.
