MICKLE TRAFFORD

• Mickle Trafford was a township in Plemstall Parish, Broxton Hundred (SJ 4469), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• Including the hamlets of Plemstall and Trafford Bridge.
• The population was 247 in 1801, 303 in 1851, 268 in 1901, and 348 in 1951.

CHURCHES AND CHAPELS

• Plemstall, St. Peter (C of E). An ancient parish church serving the townships of Bridge Trafford, Mickle Trafford, Picton, and part of Hoole. Registers of Baptisms 1558–1909, Marriages 1558–1949 and Burials 1558–1917 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office
• Mickle Trafford, Methodist Chapel (Primitive). Built in 1885.
