MOLLINGTON

• Mollington was a civil parish (SJ 3870) created in 1901 by uniting Great Mollington and Little Mollington.
• The population was 232 in 1901, and 335 in 1951.

Boundary Changes

• 1901 March 25 — Created from the whole of Great Mollington (pop. 188 in 1901) and Little Mollington (pop. 44 in 1901)
• 1936 April 1 — Gained the hamlet of Crabwall from Blacon cum Crabwall (190 acres, pop. 14 in 1931)

• Backford: St. Oswald (Church of England). The ancient parish church for the former township of Great Mollington.
• Chester: St. Mary on the Hill (Church of England). The ancient parish church for the township of Little Mollington.
• Upton, Holy Ascension (Church of England). The district church for the former township of Little Mollington since 1854.
