MOULDSWORTH

• Mouldsworth was a township in Tarvin Parish, Eddisbury Hundred (SJ 5070), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• The population was 142 in 1801, 158 in 1851, 172 in 1901, and 260 in 1951.

• Tarvin, St. Andrew (C of E). The ancient parish church for Mouldsworth.
• Ashton Hayes, St. John the Evangelist (C of E). The parish church since 1849.
• Mouldsworth, St. Cuthbert (Roman Catholic). Founded 1955.
• Mouldsworth, Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan). Built in 1816, rebuilt in 1887.
