MOULTON

• Moulton was a township in Davenham ancient parish, Northwich hundred (SJ 6569), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• The population was 103 in 1801, 328 in 1851, 1004 in 1901, and 1218 in 1951.

Boundary Changes

• 1883 March 25 — Lost a detached part to Bostock (9 acres, pop. 0 in 1891)
• 1936 April 1 — Gained part of Bostock (10 acres, pop. 3 in 1931), and lost part to Winsford (9 acres, pop. 0 in 1931)
• 1988 April 1 — Gained part of Davenham

• Moulton, United Reformed Church (Independent/Congregational). Built in 1833.
