OFFERTON

• Offerton was a township in Stockport ancient parish, Macclesfield hundred (SJ 9188), , which became a civil parish in 1866.
• The civil parish was abolished in 1900 to become part of Hazel Grove & Bramhall
• The population was 351 in 1801, 352 in 1851, and 558 in 1901.

Boundary Changes

• 1900 September 30 — Abolished and incorporated into Hazel Grove and Bramhall (pop. 558 in 1901)

• Offerton: St. Philip (Roman Catholic). Founded by 1973.
• Offerton, Methodist Chapel (Wesleyan). Built in 1887.
