- Preston Brook was a civil parish (SJ 5780) created in 1936 by uniting
part of Norton with
Preston on the Hill.
- It includes the hamlets of Barkers Hollow, Cottons Bridge, Norton Crossings,
Preston Brook, Red Brow, and Tunnel Top (part).
- The population was 401 in 1951.
