SAIGHTON
- Saighton (pronounced Say-tun) was a township in St. Oswald's
ancient parish, Broxton hundred (SJ 4359), which became a civil parish in 1866.
- It includes the hamlets of Hatton Heath (part) and Platt's Rough (part).
- The population was 242 in 1801, 329 in 1851, 308 in 1901, and 312 in 1951.
