SAIGHTON
Saighton (pronounced Say-tun ) was a township in St. Oswald's
Parish, Broxton Hundred (SJ 4359), which became a civil parish in 1866.
Including the hamlets of Hatton Heath (part) and Platt's Rough (part).
The population was 242 in 1801, 329 in 1851, 308 in 1901, and 312 in 1951.

Bruera, St. Mary (C of E). The parish church since 1868.
Saighton Camp, Army Chapel . A chapel to Bruera. Registers of Baptisms 1950–1961 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record
Office (no marriages or burials).
Saighton, Presbyterian Church . Built in 1857, closed in 1936.
