SAUGHALL MASSIE

• Saughall Massie was a township in Bidston Parish, Wirral Hundred (SJ 2588), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• In 1933 the Three Lanes End area was added to Grange, and the remainder  of Saughall Massie was added to Wallasey.
• Including the hamlets of Carr Houses and Three Lanes End (part).
• The population was 98 in 1801, 176 in 1851, and 186 in 1901.

• Bidston, St. Oswald (C of E). The ancient parish church for Saughall Massie.
• Moreton, Christ Church (C of E). The parish church since 1863.
