SEVEN OAKS

• Seven Oaks was a township in Great Budworth ancient parish, Bucklow hundred (SJ 6478), which became a civil parish in 1866.

• The civil parish was abolished in 1936 to become part of Antrobus.

• It includes the hamlets of Fandley, Gibb Hill and Senna Green
• The population was 103 in 1801, 148 in 1851, and 162 in 1901.

Boundary Changes

• 1882 March 25 — Gained a detached part of Antrobus (3 acres, pop. 6 in 1881), and lost a detached part to Antrobus (3 acres, pop. 0 in 1881)
• 1936 April 1 — Abolished and incorporated into Antrobus (631 acres, pop. 163 in 1931)

• Great Budworth: St. Mary & All Saints (Church of England). The ancient parish church for the township of Seven Oaks..
• Antrobus: St. Mark (Church of England). From 1848 the district church for the township of Seven Oaks.
• Frandley, Friends' Meeting House (Quakers). Founded in the 17th century. Some records have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office. .
