STAYLEY
- Stayley was a township in Mottram-in-Longdendale Parish, Macclesfield Hundred (SJ 9698),
which became a civil parish in 1866.
- In 1894 the whole of Stayley was added to Stalybridge
civil parish.
- The population was 1055 in 1801, 4579 in 1851, and 8750 in 1901.
