TOFT

• Toft was a township in Knutsford Parish, Bucklow Hundred (SJ 7576), which became a civil parish in 1866.
• In 1936 part of Toft was added to Knutsford.
• The population was 205 in 1801, 241 in 1851, 176 in 1901, and 118 in 1951.

• Knutsford, St. John the Baptist (C of E). The ancient parish church for Toft.
• Toft, St. John the Evangelist (C of E). Founded 1855 as the parish church for Toft and parts of  Bexton and Knutsford Inferior. Registers of Baptisms 1855–1983, Marriages 1856–1983 and Burials 1865–1982 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office
