Tranmere: St. Catherine
(Church of England). Built in 1831 as a chapel to Bebington: St. Andrew, which became
the district church for the township of Tranmere in 1842

A district church for part of Tranmere from 1858.
Claughton: Christ Church (Church of England).
The district church for part of Tramere from 1876.
Lower Tranmere: St. Luke (Church of England). A
district church for part of Tranmere from 1883. Closed in 1971.
Prenton: St. Stephen
(Church of England). The district church for part of Tranmere from
1902.
Higher Tranmere, Methodist (Wesley) Chapel. Founded in 1844 in Walker
Street. Moved 1862 in Church Road, rebuilt in 1966. Records of baptisms 1855-1953
and marriages 1936-41 are at the Cheshire Record Office.
Lower Tranmere, Methodist (Freehold) Chapel, Old Chester Road. Founded in 1867, closed in 1954. Registers of baptisms 1857-1953 and marriages 1905-1944
are at the Cheshire Record Office.
Tranmere, Mount Tabor Chapel, Holt Road. Built in 1872, closed in 1965.
