CUMBRIAN GENEALOGY

The information in the Directories and Parish Registers that I published in book form prior to my retirement is now available in these web pages. The Parish Register lists were culled from the publications published by the Parish Register Section of the Cumberland & Westmorland Antiquarian and Archeological Society. www.cwaas.org.uk/  I have also included some miscellaneous names lists.

The 1851 Census information on this site is of names only. Researchers wishing for details of residence, birthplace, family relationships etc. should go to the Cumbria FHS Publications web site at   www.cumbriafhs.com/  remembering that any purchases from them enables them to fund more  valuable work on our behalf. Please support the Society if you can.

I have converted my files into PDF format which permits a full search facility. You will need Adobe Reader to see these files.
