Birth, Marriage, or Death Certificates

Order online, pay the fee of £11.00, and you can collect the certificate from the Register Office, Dukinfield Town Hall after 5 working days.

We can only supply certificates for births, marriages and deaths that occurred in the Tameside area.

Standard birth, marriage and death certificates contain all the details entered in the register and cost £11.00 at the time of registration.

 

Order the birth, marriage or death certificate

All certificates are required to be ordered and paid for online.

A certificate issued after registration, at a cost of £11.00, will be issued within 5 days and posted recorded delivery.  Ensure you also make the postage payment of £3.00.

Please use the Cheshire BMD archive to search and request the required certificate(s). Once you have found the certificate(s) you wish to order, please click order-online and you will return to the Tameside MBC website to confirm and make payment.

Please ensure postage is paid for all your certificates. The certificates will be posted recorded delivery

If you wish to request a copy Birth, Marriage or Death Certificate - you must supply as much information as possible.
 
The Register Office staff cannot undertake protracted searches through records. A "GRO" reference alone (eg. Ashton 8D), is not sufficient to obtain a certificate.
 
Once Register Office staff confirm your certificate has been located, you will receive an email containing a reference number of the certificate and a hyperlink to pay. Click on the hyperlink and pay on-line with a debit/credit card.
 
Once the payment has been received the certificate will be issued and posted recorded delivery to the address supplied.

 

Priority Service

A priority service is offered at a fee of £35.00.
 
In order to use the priority service, call 0161 342 5032 (press option 4 to speak to an agent), before 2pm, to place the order via telephone, pay by debit/credit card, and you will be informed when you can collect the certificate.
 
The priority service is not available to order in person at the Register Office.
