The Essex & Suffolk 1841 census site - Littlechild, Lagden, Wilding & Cumbers

The online family tree originally took me four years! It is very boring. Here is my even more boring story of the Wilding family.

Kenneth Wilding, my father, was an only son of Robert Wilding, and Ethel Littlechild.

Ethel Littlechild, my grandmother as I never knew her & Robert Wilding, my grandfather

My beautiful grandmother, Ethel Littlechild; led me to spend vast amounts of my time in family history research. There are now three written trilogies of the Littlechild family, all composed by Stephen Littlechild. The latest was produced in November of 2010, and it is a brilliant factual account of the twelve lines of the Littlechild family through time (circa 1800 - 1850 and more). These can all be viewed at the Essex Record Office, or you can also purchase the latest copy by contacting Stephen directly. I received my copy of this outstanding work as a Christmas present, and it's an amazing read. Thank you.

Robert Wilding was one of quite a large family. He was actually born in Galleywood common in April, 1889.
Robert had quite a number of brothers and sisters, many of these ended living in Romford.
These included Frederick Wilding, born in 1886, and later at 26 Drummond Road along with his wife Ethel Booth
Herbert William Wilding, born in 1888, and later at 24 Catherine Road, Romford.
Stanley Wilding, born in 1892.

The early census for Kettlebaston have just been added, listing many of my Wilding ancestors. These are :
1841 census is here; 1851 census  1861 census  1871 census

Elmsett 1871 and Raydon 1871

Hemley 1881 for Robert Wilding and Caroline (nee Death)

Ray Longs Cosford database has been resurrected again for the time being. It is absolutely brilliant. I spent many hours recreating a version of this from the wayback machine, it is far from complete, but also far too important a grpoup of records to lose.
